A Children’s Character Development Camp — learning to make good choices
This Camp is an initiative to empower children and families to live by their highest values and virtues.
Virtues are elements of the human spirit and they make up the content of human character. Education which touches the human spirit can be a key to building good character and morals.
The best time to awaken a child’s qualities of character is in the early years.
Our curriculum promotes those qualities of character and simple elements of spirituality honoured by all cultures and sacred traditions, for example, respect for others, kindness, fairness, truthfulness, patience and generosity. Unity in diversity will also be celebrated.
The Camp will endeavour to teach the meaning and value of human virtues through play, the arts, crafts, music and song.
This curriculum is non-denominational. The Camp is open to families of all beliefs and religions.
It is being sponsored by the Baha’i Community of Calgary. For more information on the Baha’i Faith, go to www.calgary-bahai.org.
